Battle Cancer 2017 | 5th August

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or not, Battle Cancer is set to be the ultimate team challenge for 2017.

Founders of Battle Cancer aim for the event to be the UK's biggest not for profit fitness & strength charity that provides UK cancer charities with 100% of the money raised by participants.

We will have a trade stand at the event so feel free to stop by say hello!  We are also competing ourselves, make sure you come and cheer us along... Go Team RXROX!

This is a truly amazing event for a great cause, which is why we will be donating 10% of all sales at Battle Cancer to Macmillan Cancer Support.

For information on how to register for the event visit http://www.battle-cancer.co.uk/

The Battles

There will be three battles across the day which will push athletes to the limits of competitive fitness.

Each battle is carefully designed with every WOD containing a strong mix of the tried and tested exercises, alongside new and innovative equipment bringing with them brand new fitness challenges to find out who is the strongest and the fittest.

Details of the Battle WODs will be released shortly before Battle Day so that athletes know roughly what to expect when they step onto the Battle Ground.

There is NO online qualification, Battle Cancer is an open competition and all abilities are encouraged to take part.

Are you ready to battle and raise money for UK cancer charities?

The Teams

There are four categories of teams to ensure that no matter the age or make up of the team they can battle to claim that top three spot and stand tall on the Battle Platform.

  • All male teams of four
  • All female teams of four
  • Mixed wounded serving and ex military personnel of four
  • Mixed open team two guys two girls
  • Mixed masters team two guys two girls (all must be aged 40 or over on 05/08/17)

Athletes are encouraged to be committed to raising sponsorship for the event because whilst providing a competitive and enjoyable competition, the event is called Battle Cancer for a reason! Athletes should aim to raise a minimum of £50.  Based on past events the founders of Battle Cancer have been blown by the incredible fundraising efforts of competitors and have seen individuals raise over 30 times that set amount!

All competitors will receive a fundraising pack via email which will provide tips and guidance on how to fund raise. Battle Cancers incredible partner charity is Macmillan Cancer Support and they will be the default charity for Battle Cancer 2017. However, if there is a UK cancer charity that is particularly close to a competitors heart then Battle Cancer are more than happy for an athlete to fund raise for that charity instead.
